故事講述二百年后的未來，人類殖民太陽系。由于重力的影響，太陽系的人類逐漸分成了地球人、火星人和以小行星帶為主的谷神星人，彼此之間的關(guān)系由于資源的爭奪而變得緊張。警探Josephus Miller（托馬斯·簡 飾演）連同船長Jim Holden（史蒂文·斯崔特 飾演）與他的船員一起揭發(fā)了一個威脅秩序和平及人類生存的陰謀。
