在一次反恐行動中，由于情報失誤，英國特警部隊誤殺了一名懷抱孩子的中東移民，負責(zé)行動隊的首長決定將這宗丑聞徹底抹去，遂找來了知道真相的隊員們統(tǒng)一口徑，錄制假口供。刑偵隊長史蒂夫（馬丁·康普斯頓 Martin Compston 飾）對于首長的決定十分不滿，于是辭去了職務(wù)，被調(diào)往隸屬于英國反貪署的秘密行動組?！ ∈返俜虻娜蝿?wù)是調(diào)查一位名為托尼（連尼·詹姆斯 Lennie James 飾）的偵緝總督察，他因為涉嫌貪污而被列入了監(jiān)視的名單。史蒂夫和女警探凱特（薇琪·麥克盧爾 Vicky McClure 飾）一同打入了托尼所領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的小組內(nèi)部，史蒂夫卻意外的發(fā)現(xiàn)，凱特還有另外一重秘密的身份。
